What Is Duxback
Duxback is a revolutionary treatment that keeps glass as it should be - see through. On a windscreen rain sleet and snow simply beads, sheds and rolls off. Ice is easy and quick to remove. Water forms as tiny pearls of moisture, which are blown away as the car increases speed, leaving the glass panel clearer. Duxback even repels dirt, making the windscreen and side glass a whole lot easier to keep clean. Duxback is a simple, speedy and affordable application that creates a hydrophobic effect as it bonds with glass. Developed originally for aviation, it is applied to all Boeing cockpit glass; it is now available to the automotive sector and has already been adopted as an OE application for side glass by several motor manufacturers.
How good is it?
Try driving on an A road or Motorway at night in a monsoon-you will hardly know its raining outside!!
Installation Instructions
Duxback is very easy to apply BUT it is important that the product is applied correctly and with care and attention.
Prepare Glass:
Wash or wipe away all obvious surface dirt. Apply the pre cleaner. Shake well for about 2 minutes before use! The Cleaning Lotion is spread evenly with a clean paper towel or a cotton cloth over the surface to be sealed. A greyish coloured cleaning film forms on the surface and then the Cleaning Lotion is polished off with a circular polishing motion. The cleaning film is NOT to be allowed to break up. Should this happen, then the affected areas have to be polished again. The remains of the dried Cleaning Lotion are then removed from the surface with a clean cloth. The surfaces should not now be touched by the hand or the cloth that was used during polishing off. Good pre cleaning assists in the longevity of the product and assures for a perfect application.
Attention: Do not apply in direct sunlight, below normal temperature or in humid or damp conditions.
Apply Sealer
1. Hold the applicator with the pad down, and level over driver’s side of windscreen.
2. Squeeze the wings to release the product.
3. USE IMMEDIATELY – wipe glass with applicator pad. Cover glass completely with up and down motions, then side to side. Apply to one side of windscreen then move to other side. Do not allow product to air dry on glass Wipe the glass clean with clean dry absorbent paper towels. Make sure there is no hazing and the product has been fully polished into the glass. One applicator will do one windshield or two side or rear windows.
Attention: Do not allow product to come in contact with paintwork.
4. Use same applicator to retreat driver wiper area a second time and polish off. Discard applicator after use.
5. Test the product by running wipers across the screen. Finally wipe the glass clean with dry paper towels or microfiber cloth or similar.
